(Technically, Micah’s mother is someone we currently only plan to use for the trailer. As it stands, this character has 1-2 brief lines of dialogue, nothing more. However, if she is needed for any other videos/projects that require flashback/present day sequences, we would still like a committed voice/voice actor to place on this role just in case. Hence why we will supply lines below within the audition that won't appear in the trailer!)

More of a “friend” than a mom, Micah’s mother has been struggling ever since her son was born. She had him young, so you can already imagine how robbed she felt, with her youth spent dedicated to the life of a working mother. The stress was far too much for her, causing all types of freak outs, anxiety attacks, and aggressive episodes of paranoia that lead to her husband divorcing her. With Micah as her only tie to her past relationship and the entire reason for all the changes in her life, she’s forever shifting between the role of controlling mom, the self proclaimed “bestie” of her son, and a woman just trying to live her damn life. She’s not great at managing her impulses and often spirals when she feels that things are out of her control. Maybe that’s why she's so adamant about injecting herself into the lives of others. Always wanting to operate someone else’s decisions, fixing problems no one ever asked for help on, and taking credit for successes she had no part in; namely when it comes to Micah. This can lead to some toxic behaviours, many of which she is blind to. From her perspective, she’s a dedicated mother trying her best, through the lens of a bystander? She’s a woman who tries in all the wrong places, while absolutely neglecting everything that’s important. Messy, chaotic, and forever running from blame, this woman needs help.

No particular voice was ever imagined for the character in spite of her place in Micah’s life, but if a vague example could be given, Shereen is a pretty good baseline.
