Soundwave is a fictional character from the 1984 Transformers animated series, known among fans as Generation 1 (G1). Soundwave is part of the Decepticon army as a communications specialist, and also makes other appearances in other Transformers animated series, such as Cybertron, Animated, Prime, and in the live-action Transformers films.
