The “mysterious figure” whom Ainslie first suspects is behind “mystery man” of the series. He’s later to be revealed as the person behind Hayi’s curse, and a hex-master at that. Notorious for hiding in the shadows and being ever elusive, UNKNOWN is, well, unknown to most. He is confident in his abilities and speaks with an aura that intimidates many he crosses paths with. He has a firm belief in delivering justice to those who deserve it; however, he uses the Chosen of the Deities to achieve his goals.
UNKNOWN has a rather deep voice that has the power to be intimidating to those he wishes to put down, but soothing to those he wants to entice. I imagine his voice to be not so different from Slur (Sakamoto Days), Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7 Remake) or Dimitri (Fire Emblem: Three Houses). He is telling a story, in a way that benefits him.
Line 1: UNKNOWN is using a disguise to entice a person to his services, after seeing that they have nowhere else to go.
Line 2: After an experiment with a Deity’s Chosen goes well, UNKNOWN continues to plot from within his lair. A smile creeps up his face.
Line 3: UNKNOWN places Ainslie, Hayi and Aehsyrra in a trial of sorts. He watches from afar.
