Paid: Flat Rate 175 USD
Role assigned to: Clark Watts

Benjamin Prescott is Sean’s father, a former professional football player who has high expectations and a rigid view of success, both in sports and academics.
He’s emotionally distant and demanding, especially with his son. Since discovering Sean’s homosexuality, their relationship has deteriorated significantly, to the point where Benjamin now barely speaks to him.

Sean is deeply affected by this estrangement and continues to seek his father’s affection and approval, even when it feels hopeless.

Benjamin is a complex character: authoritative, cold, and quietly resentful, yet still human. The role requires a strong emotional presence with subtlety and weight.

This is a small speaking role in the second episode, with just a few lines, but the character may return later in the series, depending on how the story evolves.

Rate: $175 per finished hour, with a minimum fee of $20 per episode.
Payment is made per episode delivered.

Availability:
Selected actors must sign a contract confirming their availability for the full production period (May to August 2025) in case the character returns.

In the first scene, Benjamin takes Sean to the park for a training session. The tone is tough and distant — it’s not a moment of bonding, but a display of expectations and control.

In another scene, Benjamin unexpectedly sees Sean with his boyfriend. The confrontation is immediate and emotionally charged, revealing the depth of Benjamin’s anger and denial.

Keep in mind: This is a cinematic, character-driven story — not an animated or theatrical piece.
Please aim for a grounded, natural performance, similar to what you’d hear in films like Normal People, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Call Me by Your Name or The Social Network.
Avoid cartoonish or overly exaggerated deliveries.
Think subtle, real, and genuine — like you're speaking to someone right in front of you.

  • Keep your shoulders straight and stay low! (pause) Head up! Always see the field, son!

  • Fast first step! The first step wins the play! (pause) Footwork, Sean! It's all in the footwork!

  • (disbelieved) SEAN?! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?! Under my fucking roof?! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!

Hi there!Thank you so much for your audition and for your involvement, especially despite the challenges you mentioned. You definitely have strong acting abilities, it was genuinely interesting to listen to. At times, it leaned a bit theatrical, with some extended phrasing, but overall it’s a solid foundation.

Unfortunately, there is an issue with the audio quality. The recording sounds quite distant, with significant background noise, and it almost feels like it was captured on a phone. The problem is that even with a strong performance, audio like this is either very difficult or impossible to recover. If it requires too much work or budget to clean, we risk ending up with a voice that sounds overly processed or artificial.

You clearly have talent, and it would be a shame to miss out on future roles because of audio quality. If possible, I really recommend focusing on improving that aspect. In this project, someone auditioned with a very modest setup, I can’t recall which one exactly but the result was super clean and worked great.Combined with strong acting, that kind of clarity really ticks all the boxes.Don’t hesitate to listen to some of the other auditions to get a sense of what might help you stand out technically.

Thanks again for your time and effort!
