THE TARGET - Lead Male Voice Actor + Supporting roles (Audio Drama/Audio Roleplay)
Nickel-Sons for Sean Prescott
Male character, 20s to early 30s.
Voice should feel natural, warm, and emotionally grounded, with the ability to shift between introspective narration and heartfelt dialogue.
Sean is a college student at a small-town college in Pennsylvania, where he’s also the captain of the Black Falcons, the school’s football team. The story is told through his voice, intimate, reflective, and often directly addressed to the listener, who is part of the Deaf community and someone Sean once deeply loved.
This is a cinematic audio drama with a strong emotional arc. The actor must be comfortable performing both narration and emotionally intense scenes, including tender, romantic, and vulnerable moments.
Keep in mind: This is a cinematic, character-driven story — not an animated or theatrical piece.
Please aim for a grounded, natural performance, similar to what you’d hear in films like Normal People, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Call Me by Your Name or The Social Network.
Avoid cartoonish or overly exaggerated deliveries.
Think subtle, real, and genuine — like you're speaking to someone right in front of you.
Please submit a raw, unprocessed audio file using the provided script lines here :

Hello,Thank you so much for your audition. You have a voice that really fits the character, with a natural tone that blends elements of audiobook and voice-over which works very well. Some intonations could have been delivered differently, but overall it was a solid performance. The sound quality is very good, but I did notice a constant background noise that starts around 1:43; it’s not there at the beginning. Is it possibly ventilation or something similar? Also, the audio volume shifts throughout the recording, it starts off clear, crisp, and at a good level, but gradually becomes softer.Do you know what might have caused that?
I apologize for that, there were some factors I could've managed. I had adjusted the gain for certain lines to make sure I had the appropriate volume, and the AC in the house was running, which I assumed the mic was picking up. That may have affected the quality of this recording. Still, thank you so much for the kind words, I'm glad you liked my audition nonetheless!!!
Got it! Thank you for your feedback and for the clarification.
Hi there!
Thank you so much for your audition, it was really great.
You were honestly one of my favorites, thanks to your acting, the audio quality (despite a few small quirks), and your voice.
And unfortunately, it’s that last point, your voice, that tipped the scale toward another candidate.
It’s a beautiful voice, but just a bit too deep for the character of Sean.
That said, it would be perfect for another character in a different series, so I’ll definitely reach out to you when the time comes.
Thanks again for your interest, I truly hope we’ll get to work together soon!
It's alright, thank you for all the great feedback though!! It was fun getting to be those characters while I had the shot! I look forward to future opportunities!!!
