Terror at Camp Roanoke
Catharine C for Eleanor Dare
Eleanor Dare is a real historical figure and the daughter of John White. If you would like any additional information on her to help inspire you for this role, I encourage you to look her up. I imagine her, much like her father John White, as a hopeful and optimistic settler excited to begin a new life in the New World. Even when things go wrong, she attempts to remain optimistic, until the final chapter of the story's background, in which everything falls apart, leaving her and the rest of the settlers in an incredibly dire situation. She will need to fall into utter fear and terror at that point, so be aware of that when auditioning.

Another turn of the season here on Roanoke, and despite Father’s continued absence, we have persevered.
(Nervous) The days grow shorter, the air colder, and with them comes a terror that gnaws at the very soul of our settlement.
(Terrified) Father… oh, Father, if you ever find this… if you ever read these words stained with my tears and fear… please, I beg you, turn back. Do not come to what remains of this cursed place.
