THE TARGET - Lead Male Voice Actor + Supporting roles (Audio Drama/Audio Roleplay)
Mathias Ralf for Sean Prescott
Male character, 20s to early 30s.
Voice should feel natural, warm, and emotionally grounded, with the ability to shift between introspective narration and heartfelt dialogue.
Sean is a college student at a small-town college in Pennsylvania, where he’s also the captain of the Black Falcons, the school’s football team. The story is told through his voice, intimate, reflective, and often directly addressed to the listener, who is part of the Deaf community and someone Sean once deeply loved.
This is a cinematic audio drama with a strong emotional arc. The actor must be comfortable performing both narration and emotionally intense scenes, including tender, romantic, and vulnerable moments.
Keep in mind: This is a cinematic, character-driven story — not an animated or theatrical piece.
Please aim for a grounded, natural performance, similar to what you’d hear in films like Normal People, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Call Me by Your Name or The Social Network.
Avoid cartoonish or overly exaggerated deliveries.
Think subtle, real, and genuine — like you're speaking to someone right in front of you.
Please submit a raw, unprocessed audio file using the provided script lines here :

Hi Mathias!Thank you so much for your audition.I really enjoyed listening to your audio, you truly have incredible potential, even with limited experience.Your acting is very natural and believable, with a beautiful intonation that’s very pleasant to listen to.Your audio quality is also quite good for a homemade booth; very clear sound overall.Just a small note: the Blue Yeti tends to pick up quite a lot of detail, so you’ll need to be careful not to get too close or maybe find a different mic placement to avoid recording plosives and breathing noises. The fact that you have experience in theater and film is definitely an advantage and will make directing each episode easier.Thank you again, and I’ll get back to you once a decision has been made!
Thank you so much! That means a lot, genuinely. I saw the effort you put into the project and character description and it really inspired me.
I have definitely noticed the mic thing. I find myself constantly adjusting, and learning how to work around it until I can upgrade.
Hope to hear from you again! Best of luck with the project and thanks again for your comment. <3
Hi there! Thanks again for your audition. You have strong acting skills and a great emotional range, but unfortunately, we’ve decided to go with a different profile for this role. That said, feel free to keep working on the points mentioned and don’t hesitate to audition again for future roles, we’d love to hear from you!
Thanks for the kind message. Sean seems like a beautifully complex character, I'm sure the actor will do a great job! Wish them the best. I'll definitely keep working to improve my recordings, thanks for the tips!
Hope to hear from you again as well. Best of luck!
Thank you so much!Just a quick note, I may have mentioned the quality of your homemade booth to a few other VAs who were struggling with audio issues, so don’t be surprised if they reach out to you for advice haha.Have a great day!
