THE TARGET - Lead Male Voice Actor + Supporting roles (Audio Drama/Audio Roleplay)
Mac Guarnieri, VA for Sean Prescott
Male character, 20s to early 30s.
Voice should feel natural, warm, and emotionally grounded, with the ability to shift between introspective narration and heartfelt dialogue.
Sean is a college student at a small-town college in Pennsylvania, where he’s also the captain of the Black Falcons, the school’s football team. The story is told through his voice, intimate, reflective, and often directly addressed to the listener, who is part of the Deaf community and someone Sean once deeply loved.
This is a cinematic audio drama with a strong emotional arc. The actor must be comfortable performing both narration and emotionally intense scenes, including tender, romantic, and vulnerable moments.
Keep in mind: This is a cinematic, character-driven story — not an animated or theatrical piece.
Please aim for a grounded, natural performance, similar to what you’d hear in films like Normal People, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Call Me by Your Name or The Social Network.
Avoid cartoonish or overly exaggerated deliveries.
Think subtle, real, and genuine — like you're speaking to someone right in front of you.
Please submit a raw, unprocessed audio file using the provided script lines here :

Hi there!Okay, what a performance! It was excellent across every scene.I absolutely loved the acting, the emotions behind the voice, the inner voice moments, and the dialogue delivery. It was really, really good!Even without any sound design, you managed to create vivid images in my mind, which is an amazing achievement.Just one question: could the slight noise I heard throughout the audio be something that can be fixed?
Hello, there! I’m so happy you’re pleased with my performance! I appreciate the very, very kind words.
Yes! I think what you’re probably hearing is mostly room tone (and possibly some gaps between recorded audio and silence in the project file) as a result of the audio being submitted completely unprocessed. I can fix that pretty easily with very light, transparent processing, or even give you fully produced audio if you’d prefer.
Oh no, don't worry, there’s already a technical team in charge of processing.Just to be sure everything can be fixed smoothly, could you send me 15 seconds of this audio after processing so I can hear the difference?Thank you!
Hi there! Thanks again for your audition. To be honest, you were in the top 4, your acting was excellent, the audio quality was solid, and you brought a lot of emotion to the performance. It truly wasn’t an easy decision to make. In the end, we went with another candidate who portrayed the character with a slightly less melancholic tone, which felt a bit closer to what we were looking for in this specific role. That said, we’ll have the chance to work together on future roles, you clearly have a lot of talent and range.Thank you again for your interest!
Thank you for the kind words! Please feel free to contact me if you feel I would be a good fit for characters of any size or type in this or any of your other productions. I'd love to work with you!
Regardless, I appreciate the opportunity and wish you and your chosen actor all the best!
Of course! Thank you!
