The father of Ayame who left when she was just a little girl. He and Shizuko were madly in love until he found out that she was pregnant with Ayame. After that, he started leaving the house for long intervals and coming back drunk. Once Ayame was born, however, he loved her and treated her accordingly, but he had fallen into a dangerous routine that he couldn't escape from. Eventually, he left Shizuko and Ayame to fix himself, inevitably disappearing from their life entirely.

(Fighting with Shizuko) Shizuko, just shut up! I'm sorry, I just...I can't control myself anymore. I'm leaving. And I'm going to get myself fixed for you and Ayame. I promise you. Okay?
