Yakov is a major protagonist in the Mars storyline of season 1 of Sedisverse. He is intended to have a major role in future seasons. He is an adult male in his late 30s with a modest Russian accent.

Yakov is a former Russian soldier, abandoned and subsequently captured following the aborted invasion of Aberdeen. He was sentenced and sent to work off his 'debt' as a miner on the Martian colony. He is best friends with Vitaly- another soldier from the same campaign. Yakov is a committed worker, always optimistic, always up for a fight. He has fully embraced his role among the miners, championing their cause for workers rights. Although he has learned English, it remains a little broken and he maintains a modest Russian accent. Yakov is something of a gentle giant, strong, a little slow, but always eager to help others. He has family back on Earth he misses dearly and also suffers from a fear of spiders.

The role will require some need for exertions such as running, fighting, taking hits and hard breathing. 

A British accent is preferred, but not required, and other accents are free to apply.

Applicants will need to have their own recording equipment of decent quality and be able to send recorded files to us to be edited. 

Unedited Wav files are preferred - editing and clean up is done in house.

Direction will be minimal as we can only work remotely in most cases, so some re records may be needed, but we aim to be available for any questions or queries you may have.
