Matthew is a young prodigy, one who’s always been interested in problem solving and academics. He leans toward the quieter side, his attempted demeanour being professional and self sufficient. Despite this, he is rather insecure, and can be a bit awkward and ramble-y in social settings. He’s quite the scaredy cat.
Despite his trepidations and self doubt, Matthew recognizes where he prospers, and wants to utilize his strong points to help make a positive shift in people’s lives. If he knows he’s helped just one person, he’d feel fulfilled.

(Frustrated, anxious) Ugh, this stupid cowlick in my hair won’t go down! What on Earth was I doing prior to this?
(Stutter-y, frantic) I—I swear I didn’t mean for any trouble, I’ll—I’ll show myself out, I promise—!
(Quiet, Unsure) I don’t think it’s anything to do with you, Anita. I suppose a lot of us are more academically oriented rather than socializing experts.
