Divorced and feeling that she might never find love again, Mrs. O'Connor questions whether she's still relevant or worthy of companionship. However, she wrestles with moments of doubt, wondering if she’s making a real difference in their lives or if she’s just another "tough coach" they’ll forget about when they leave school. Mrs. O'Connor’s financial struggles also weigh heavily on her, as she pursues a passion-driven career in education despite its low pay, hoping that the impact she has on young people will make up for the sacrifices she’s made.
