Unamed and One Off Characters

Dance With Me has a multitude (meaning A LOT) of one off characters, some named, some not. Guards, knights, counselors, castle staff, etc etc. Most of these consists of knights and castle staff. Below will be some one off lines for you to record if you would be available for background characters. They appear in almost every chapter. 

List of Unnamed Background Characters and Their Chapter Appearances:

  • Random Guards ( Chapters 3, 9, 14, 20, 21)

  • Counselors (Chapter 8)

  • Castle Staff Voices (Chapters 12, 13, 18, 20)

  • Nurse (Chapter 13)

  • Yiga Assassin (Chapter 14)

  • Commander (Chapter 16)

  • Advisor (Chapter 17)

List of Named Background Characters and Their Chapter Appearances:

  • Sir Erk ( Chapter 21)

  • Counselor Lady Maude (Chapter 8)

  • Sir Char (Chapter 12)

  • Commander Arlo (Chapter 16, 22)

These are all characters that have 1-4 lines, or are different people each and every chapter with 1 or 2 lines. It's just not worth putting up an entire audition for each one.

I'll be picking a handful people for these roles, so hopefully we get a number of auditions for these! Unnamed roles for these are good for people who have low availability but want to do a few fun lines here and there.

Give your best impressions! Like I said, we will have a lot of background characters as the story goes on. Have fun with these! Do multiple takes! Show you're versitile!


At the beginning of your audition, please introduce yourself before you do any lines. We want to know about you and who you are! This is an 18+ project, so make sure to list your age so we know we aren't taking in minors. Finally, make sure to state your availability, (Low, Moderate, High.) The project description does give schedule details, so make sure you've taken that into account before auditioning for a specific role.

  • Castle Knights and Guards: Strong. Proper. At attention. || "Do we skirmish often? We do, Princess, but these are the best two fighters in Hyrule. Age versus youth, experience on both ends. They don’t fight often, but when they do, it’s always a showcase."

  • Counselors / Advisors: Royal sounding, usually older men. || "Just because the Calamity has yet to occur doesn’t mean it never will. We have gotten lax in our procedures and hesitant in our desire to act. We cannot live in this kind of fear forever."

  • Handmaidens: Soft spoken ladies' who like to gossip and are ready to help the princess || "Do you think Sir Link can defeat the Calamity? I heard he pulled the sword. I wonder if the princess will unlock her powers soon. Given her past attempts...maybe not..."
