Bob the Tomato is an antagonist and host of VeggieTales.

Bob is very much an educator at heart, having been inspired by the famed children’s show host, Mister Rogers. He is relatively calm and nice to everyone he meets, always trying to do what’s right and be a good role model. Bob's ultimate goal in life is to help kids by teaching them valuable lessons and reminding them how much God loves and cares about them.

Bob works very hard trying to be a good leader and keep things running smoothly. But when push comes to shove, he can be very high-strung and extremely particular about how he wants things to go. Bob often clashes with his friends and peers, who don’t always share his specific vision or mindset. His low tolerance for silliness can often be an issue being paired up as the "straight man" to the goofy and absent-minded Larry.

Bob has been know to get upset when things go awry, becoming irritable and a bit of a control-freak to those around him. But once Bob calms down and makes things right with his friends, he’s able to be resilient with any issues he's facing and ultimately meet his rather ambitious goals.

Bob il pomodoro è un antagonista e conduttore di Verdureshow. Bob è un educatore nel profondo, essendo stato ispirato dal famoso conduttore di uno show per bambini, Mister Rogers. È relativamente calmo e gentile con tutti quelli che incontra, cercando sempre di fare ciò che è giusto ed essere un buon modello di comportamento. L'obiettivo finale di Bob nella vita è aiutare i bambini insegnando loro lezioni preziose e ricordando loro quanto Dio li ama e si prende cura di loro. Bob lavora molto duramente per cercare di essere un buon leader e far sì che le cose vadano lisce. Ma quando si arriva al dunque, può essere molto nervoso ed estremamente esigente su come vuole che le cose vadano. Bob spesso si scontra con i suoi amici e coetanei, che non sempre condividono la sua visione o mentalità specifica. La sua bassa tolleranza per la sciocchezza può spesso essere un problema per essere accoppiato come "uomo serio" al goffo e distratto Larry. Bob è noto per arrabbiarsi quando le cose vanno male, diventando irritabile e un po' un maniaco del controllo per coloro che lo circondano. Ma una volta che Bob si calma e sistema le cose con i suoi amici, riesce a essere resiliente di fronte a qualsiasi problema si presenti e, in ultima analisi, a raggiungere i suoi obiettivi piuttosto ambiziosi.
