He trained at the Academy with the goal of volunteering when he felt ready, but his cousin Jade pressured him into volunteering this year so they could participate in the Hunger Games together, looking out for each other. In the arena, Heliah finds a genuine sisterly bond with Rox, who takes it upon herself to protect him. Heliah is diligent, energetic and skilled in solving puzzles and handling intricate tasks.
