Nolr for Jonas
Jonas likes to keep to himself after his parents died. His main focus is getting a full scholarship to a good college as well as taking care of his little sister. Jonas comes off as cold and distant towards his fellow classmates, who envy him for being at the top of the class. A lot of the time, Jonas speaks in an almost emotionless, monotonous tone of voice (please don’t make him sound like a robot) and is easily agitated depending on his surrounding.
“(bored, annoyed) Three months into the trip Sergeant Charles Floyd died of appendicitis. He was the only member to have died on the expedition, and his body was buried on a high bluff overlooking a river that flowed into the Missouri.”
“(reluctantly) People hate the things they don’t understand. My classmates especially. They don’t think that someone can be as ‘smart’ as I am. So they’d rather treat me like an outsider than to make an attempt at understanding.”
“(somber) It’s been hard, since they’ve died. My Uncle tries his best but...it’s a hard world out there.”
