(Keefe is 14.) Keefe Sencen is a bit of a flirt, and is a little overenthusiastic about himself, inside and especially out. He's got an obvious crush on Sophie and is always getting into trouble due to his mischeviousness. He never settles for boring--he always finds some way to bring humor or craziness or adventure into everything. He may just be the most fun person to be around. But he is often too joking in times of seriousness. But despite this, he is sill very sweet and caring. He does become a main and crucial focus around the fourth book, and so on into the fifth.
(Amused, confident) "See, Foster? You're a natural. If anyone can do this, it's you."
(Stern, serious) "I don't care what happens to her." (DON'T READ ITALICIZED LINE -> Sophie: *wipes small tear from his cheek and shows it to him* "Then why are you crying?") (Quiet, choking back sobs) "I-I . . . "
(DON'T READ ITALICIZED-> Fitz: Come on, I know it's not her you're mad at. I've been there.) (Angry, snappy) "Have you? Because I seem to remember you having a bummer few weeks and then everything went back to perfect Vacker-Land. So where's my perfect fix? Why does it just keep spiraling and spiraling and spiraling?" (Serious, hurt, quiet) "You keep trying to fix everything. Sophie. You even fixed Exillium. But you can't fix me."
