Aston is the reason why there is so many problems. He's the village chief and a cold man who believes witches are evil. Originally he wished to marry Odella as she was beautiful but when she refused him before marriage he grew annoyed and started seeing Edda on the side. When Odella caught Aston cheating on her on their wedding night she threatened to tell everyone he's an adulterer and in response he killed her and threw her body in a swamp. Aston believes that he isn’t in the wrong even when confronted by Odella as the Maiden of the Mire.

- Very stuck in his ways and unwilling to change. He always believes he's in the right
- Hard on the outside but on the inside he's a little boy that yearns for attention and will do anything for the person that gives that attention to him. He's easily manipulated
