Arturo is the player's primary companion. He is a male-voiced artificial intelligence, housed inside the computer on a spaceship, and is never pictured. He assists the player (John) throughout the game.

Arturo is like a golden retriever puppy trapped inside a computer. He is unbelievably optimistic, genuine, yet immodest. He has an innocent sense of humour and would do anything for John and Claire. Arturo has some serious moments but generally provides comic relief.

As a key character in the game with several comedic moments, Arturo is an important character that requires a talented actor with superb comedic delivery. Arturo's script is roughly 250 lines.

Budget flexible for the right performer.

  • NOOOOooooooooooooooo! Please John! You should have seen me! I was like a fiery beacon of life-saving glory!I promise to only use these godlike powers for good! I won't even kill a single human!Unless... you wanted me to?Actually hang on, why do I take orders from you again?

  • Hey like, you never know! It might be totally safe! That could just be like, how it looks, man.I know you, you see that giant spike, and you just assume, oh it's a killer plant. And probably all its life, it just wants some affection. Ever think of that?

  • Focus, John. We don't have a lot of time before someone notices.Grab that rifle on the ground and go get Claire. There's a docking bay on this floor. I'll fly the ship into the hangar and pick you up.

It's a bit different, but, hopefully, in a good way.

Dang! I have to say, as much as I want this role, if you get it, I'll not be mad for a second. My friends agree -- your take on Arturo is hilarious! Well done.

I appreciate that! With as many people auditioning for these roles, it's nice to know that somebody took the time to check my read. Thanks!
