Role assigned to: Alice Irvin

Role: The protagonist, cursed with being both the cure and a weapon against the plague. She carries the responsibility of ending a centuries-old plague, but at great personal cost.

Backstory:

- Origin: Kiran comes from a forgotten village, one that fell victim to the plague long ago. She was a child when the plague first ravaged her people, and it was through a mysterious encounter with the god Lorne that she became the “vessel” for the cure.

- Transformation: Kiran didn’t choose this fate—she was marked by Lorne during a fateful encounter. After that, the plague didn’t just vanish; it merged with Kiran, manifesting as a constant, creeping infection that only she can hold in check. Over time, her blood became the antidote, and her life became a tether between the living world and the plague.

- Personality: She’s stubborn, reserved, and often burdened by the knowledge that her very existence holds the balance of life and death. She feels an intense sense of duty but also resentment toward the god that cursed her. She doesn’t view herself as a “hero”—more like a reluctant servant to fate. Her inner conflict comes from her desire for a normal life vs. the burden of carrying the plague within her.

- Abilities: Kiran’s main power lies within her blood. When she draws it, it can both heal and destroy—mimicking the cure she holds, but also capable of spreading the plague if used recklessly. Over time, Kiran learns to control her blood’s power, learning how to manifest it into physical weapons or tools of healing. The plague itself manifests in darker ways—visions, hallucinations, and sometimes even physical deformities (like black veins or scars) that remind her of the curse.

Visual Design:

- Appearance: Pale skin, dark eyes with an almost unnatural, haunting look. Her hair is dark brown with streaks of red (representing the plague’s infection). Her outfit is practical, made of leather and cloth that protects her, but also hints at her cursed nature (perhaps with a motif like blood droplets or small symbols that represent both healing and destruction).

- Symbolism: A mark on her body where Lorne first cursed her—a sigil or brand that glows when the plague's influence is stronger. The mark might also serve as a connection to the god Lorne.

  • Oh, uhm… no. [small pause] I-I just wanted to talk about how things are going here! I mean, it’s been awhile. And, something else I've been meaning to ask.

  • Shit… How am I going to get this situated? Uri is a workaholic, Dad is… not well. And… sigh… Okay, you know what! Maybe I’ll talk with Uni. She’s probably off by now.

  • Wait… what do you mean? I thought he was helping us!
