Starflight is an male NightWing dragonet and the main protagonist of The Dark Secret. He is one of the dragonets of destiny.


Starflight is described as an annoying know-it-all, but is also anxious and sensible. When the dragonets escape the cave they’ve lived in their entire lives, Starflight brings all of his scrolls instead of leaving them behind - much to the annoyance of Tsunami.

  • [Loftily] “Easy. Its because we have all these special powers, and we don’t want to make regular dragons feel inferior.”

  • [Smart, explaining] “No one knows what the scavenger did with the sand dragon treasure. Among other things, he stole the Lazulite Dragon, the gold SandWing scepter, and the Eye of Onyx, which had been in the SandWing treasury for hundreds of years.”

  • [Protesting] “We might need them. They’ll tell us what’s safe to eat and all the different tribal customs and how to fly in bad weather and —"
