Character Bio: Greg Universe is Steven’s dad and washed-up former rockstar, living in a van by the beach. After Rose’s disappearance he gradually descended into a downward spiral, with Steven being his only reason to keep things together. Since Steven moved out to live with the Crystal Gems, Greg has only rarely managed to see his son. He tries to be friendly and warm, but sometimes the mask slips and his depressive tendencies show through.
