One of the heartmenders Threnody encounters, and turns into more of a father figure to her being her shoulder to cry on.

His voice is warm and kind, full of encouragement almost fatherly.

  • [tired] “Look, if you want to try, go for it.  I ain’t gonna stop ya.  Just know that you two got me out of a rather… tight spot.  You go back in there, she’s liable to stick another sock in your maw.”

  • “So.  That’s the infamous security mare, you got lucky.  She thrashed me the first time we met.” [warmly]

Hopefully this isn't too long of an audition; I did a few different takes for each line.

No of course not, do as many takes as you want, its a good audition and the only I can critique (and I cant take much because I struggle a little myself) is with the background noise, besides that it was real good!

Oh awesome! I'm so glad to hear that (I wasn't quite sure how the character was supposed to sound, so I improvised based on my vision of him). I think the background noise was caused by one of the fans in my computer tower (and a really sensitive microphone lol). If I get the role I'll try fixing this by moving my microphone further away from my PC (or soundproofing the area between them). Would you like me to re-audition without the background noise?

No need to re-audition, I'm sure it could be solved with editing and using a noise reducer, but sound proofing is the best way to preserve quality of audio. Your audition was good, just keep background noise in mind for later auditions.

Definitely. I eventually fixed the problem (a few days ago) by placing a large piece of foam between my computer and my microphone.
