Erin is the main protagonist of Samsara, and is one of the two voiced characters in this teaser. She is an orphaned girl called to the city of Kaihara to pilot a mech called the Genesion, she now reluctantly works for the security organisation Alter to protect mankind from the malevolent supernatural force known as the Teikai.

Erin is a reserved and soft-spoken girl who struggles with her self-esteem. Before coming to Kaihara, she was apathetic towards life and could not be bothered to care about anything, even her own well-being. She existed in a state of constant self-loathing, unable to find a reason to justify her existence. Over time, she becomes more confident and learns to live for her own sake.

Erin has a kind heart and is gentle by nature, but she tends to care too much about others' impressions of her. On one hand, it means that she unconsciously avoids forming new bonds for fear of harming herself, but on the other it makes her a sweet and loyal friend towards the few people that she trusts with her heart.
