The major protagonist of the series. Despite his youth, Hayze carries the heavy weight of his experiences as a social outcast, often being quickly judged by his appearance due to social prejudice. His personality has been hardened as a result, with a strong sense-of-self and the ability to shut down any and all negativity that comes his way with witty, yet intelligent remarks. However, he still has not let go of his soft side with Lynerius, whom he considers a father figure.

Therefore, his voice reflects this accordingly. We're looking for a medium-low pitched voice that carries with it a slight bit of rasp, suave, cleverness, intelligence, and intensity. To reflect his dichotomous personality, we are looking for actors with the ability to bring their voice low to reflect his intelligence and intensity, and soften their voice to reflect his softer, more caring side-- all while maintaining Hayze's pitch.
