Lark's Voicebook for Lucia

Voice Actor
Voice Actor
Lucia
closed
Unpaid
Role assigned to: Fizzyemi

For this role, you may be asked to play as Alpha as well. I’d love to hear an audition of both characters if you are interested!

The squad leader of the Gray Raven and the poster girl of the game. She’s a very quiet soldier whose main drive is the mission itself. She also has a hard time with emoting.

Mid to high range in female voice. Hoping for a more soft spoken/quiet voice with a flatter direction in terms of expressing emotions since she’s a more serious character. So if you can aim to have more subtle emotions with your lines, that’d be great! For voice reference, the English voice is a good idea of what I’m looking for.

Thank you so much for your interest in the project and submitting your auditions!

Your direction for Luna is really well done. You retained a flat tone and kept the voice rather cold in your performance, and I do love that how your voice grew weaker when you got to the final line. The only thing is I found the voice a little too low and mature for Luna who is meant to be a child.

You do a good job with how taunting you make Vera, with how your words seem like it's always one step away from a threat in your first lines and even a slight laugh hidden in your words in the second line! I do feel that the final lines were more distressed than they were angry like I was hoping for.

Your Alpha was also nicely done where you made her very cold and threatening throughout the entire audition, so nice job there!

Your Bianca was also very solid as a performance, and I really loved how firm your voice is for the final line, like you found your final resolve. The only thing for this one is that I felt that the second line was lacking a bit in the spite I wanted. It's good for the thoughtfulness, but I would love more of the growing spite, like someone who's angry for the loss of her loved ones and getting mad at people excusing the losses.

I felt that your read for Lucia was a little too fast, but this isn't a big problem for all your other auditions. You did a good job with being more monotonous for Lucia, but I found that the takes for the same line would wind up being the same, so I would have liked to see some differences for how each line is handled with subtle ways despite the constrictions that a monotonous voice would have. For these cases, things like adding certain pauses or stressing certain words could help a lot with how to slip in just the right amount of emotion for a character that would be otherwise flat in emotions.

You're welcome to resubmit for these auditions based on the feedback I've provided but otherwise, thank you so much for your time and effort into the project and I hope we can work together in the future whether that is for this project or something else!
