Mother of the protagonist Mackenzie Marzolla. Thanks to her daughter's bad behaviour, she and her husband are exhausted, near penniless, and living in a broken house. Mrs. Marzolla is no weak old biddy; she's in her 50s, so please no stereotypical, quavering old lady voices! She misses the time when she was a beauty and still tries to present herself as such: fashionable, popular, young. Unfortunately, that's hard when Mackenzie keeps stealing her pretty clothes and leaving her with the old lady couture.
It never used to be like this. Time was when we all got along. You know: like a family.
Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I should have been tougher like the other mothers used to say. But I suppose it's too late now.
