Scofield is a former prisoner who, after escaping said prison, ended up getting captured by a gang of raiders anyway. While captured, Scofield is put under immense torture and pain, though is able to quickly recover afterward. When not being captured, Scofield has a grizzled and casual attitude about himself despite the circumstances.
