Alek was sitting on his bed cleaning his sword, the ragged cloth gliding silently over a blade polished to perfection. (Calm)
An elbow to the gut and Gwenevere broke free. She ran until she saw the ground ahead catch fire. (Frantic)
This was nothing like I had imagined, but that's not a bad thing. My brain is still trying to process what it just heard, and imagine what 8000 consecutive words of that would sound like after the first hour. I'll think on it.

I'll tell you what makes casting for narrator so damn difficult. I have no idea what I'm comparing you to. Some days I want James Earl Jones, other days I want a sweet young Irish woman. I just listen to a voice and then HELL YES! HELL NO! or HELL MAYBE! instantly. Though explaining to the actor why my brain did that can take ten or fifteen minutes, and that's if I can figure it out at all. Just try random stuff and see what my brain says. The other characters are easier. I already know what they sound like and why.
