General info: Mateo is a sixteen-year-old boy living in Blossom Creek (California, USA) where he was born and raised. His parents emigrated from Mexico long before his birth. He currently lives with his mother and older sister, Gemma. Like his sister, he doesn’t have a strong relationship with their father. Mateo has many friends, but unfortunately, some of them are problematic and have a negative influence on him, with a few even being involved in criminal activities.

Backstory: Mateo has always been considered the “favorite child” of the family. His social personality makes him well-liked, and connecting with others comes naturally to him. He's always been passionate about exercising and martial arts, but lately, he hasn’t been pursuing those interests. Instead, he spends most of his time trying to impress his new, suspicious friends.

Personality: Besides being sociable, Mateo has a knack for getting out of dangerous situations and quickly adapting to new groups. Unfortunately, he's currently quite conflicted and pessimistic about the future, and the ongoing uncertainty in his town only worsens his outlook.
