Gwenevere is a loving wife who's empathetic to those around her, and often saves the day with her clever "outside the box" thinking. As one of the main characters, she needs to be down to earth and relatable to help the reader see the world through her eyes.

IN MY HEAD: I imagine Sarah Alexander's character Susan Walker from the TV show Coupling

  • You are honour bound! You gave me your word that I should join you for
our first quest, and you have broken it! (Angry)

  • I shall not delay you too long. I swear by all the gods, you shall not regret my presence. (Over-the-top gratitude for letting her tag along)

  • You were right. I should have drawn my sword. (Apologetic) [This is one of those well after the fact thought-out prepared-in-advance sincere apologies, not an off the cuff apology in the moment.]

Your microphone sensitivity is set too high. You peaked it out. Too quiet can be easily fixed, but too loud is beyond repair. Also, I can tell your mental focus is in the wrong place. You're thinking about how you sound, and that will only have you sound worse. Instead of thinking about that, think about how big of a bastard Alek is for saying you could join the quest, then cancelling last minute. Think about how glad you are that he finally caved in and let you join a long, keeping in mind that he could change his mind again if you're not careful. Think about how sorry you are for not drawing your sword, because you finally see that things would've been much better for everyone if you'd only drawn your sword, and you didn't. If you think about those things, and forget about how you sound, you will sound perfect.

Thanks for the feedback, having direction about the lines is very helpful. I checked the settings, and actually it doesn't sound loud on my end, so maybe it's the rendering format? I'm not sure, but I will attempt it again, if you feel it's worth trying. Do you have any preference on the tone, then? Was the accent what you wanted, or would you like me to try it North American style?

I see you missed the update. I've been doing that a lot. The waveform looks like it's peaking, so my eyes tell my ears they're hearing problems they're really not. Quite embarrassing. I can't apologise to everyone individually, but I do apologise to anyone who brings it up.

I always imagine her as British, though any accent in or near the UK would work well also. However, an accent you're good at no matter how wrong is always better than an accent you're okay at, no matter how right.

It's no problem, you give very good direction, I appreciate it and will attempt another go.

I try. As someone who's completely unemployed, I know what it's like to send a resume out into a black void of nothingness and wondering what it's up to. I know that if I auditioned for something, and someone else was chosen instead of me, I'd want to know why. Given that all the auditions are free, and many of the actors are completely willing to work for free, for me to not give everyone personal rejections with reasons would make me the most entitled asshole ever. Sometimes people keep auditioning who don't have a hope of ever getting the part, but that doesn't bother them because they keep getting good acting tips from me. I'm proud of that, and I encourage it.

And it is appreciated, as an actress that both sells her work and performs for free, I think feedback is very important. I pay to be advertised as a voice actress and audition on more well-known voice acting sites. However, I decided to come back here and to youtube again to hone my acting and recording abilities, so feedback is very important to me. I sent in a second audition, if you would like to check it out. I focused on the acting more and lowered the audio.

The acting is actually very good now. It doesn't bother me, but if you want more credibility professionally, never submit multiple takes unless they are RADICALLY different. Multiple takes is supposed to show your full acting range, so you submit the evil psychotic one and the mildly annoyed one just in case you're not sure which way the director was going with it. The last impression you want is to give the director is that the only thing you're capable of changing is which word you accent. We just want to hear your voice, we're not actually going to use your audition in the final project. We know you can accent a different word upon request Again, I don't care, but when you're submitting to a guy that has to listen to 1000 different auditions, he's jumping at any excuse possible to whittle that down to a top three. Don't give him one.

Yes, thanks for calling me out on that!! It's a nasty habit I've developed where I only format my audition as well as everyone else. The funny thing is, is that I get on other people in my youtube community about doing multiple takes and just changing one word. I tell them an audition is to showcase accent, emotion, and range, and not to waste it all on changing a single word in a line. It's unprofessional, but I do it here sometimes, I apologize. I need to work on that, so thank you.
