Total Blackout
Connor Cloughley for Sam (MAJOR CHARACTOR)
Sam’s voice is low and gravelly, a reflection of the tough life he’s led. There’s a certain roughness to it, as if he’s spent years speaking in hushed tones to avoid detection. His voice carries a subtle edge, making it clear he’s not someone to be underestimated. Despite the harshness, there’s a warmth that occasionally creeps in, especially when he’s speaking to someone he cares about or when he’s making a dry, sarcastic remark.

(voice trembling slightly, eyes filled with urgency and sorrow) “Jack... we walked right into it. Rykov knew we’d be there, and he was waiting for us. They... they got Marcus. I tried to pull him out, but there were too many of them. I could hear him, calling for help, but I—I had to leave him behind. I’m sorry, Jack, I’m so damn sorry.”
(takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself, voice firming with resolve) “We don’t have much time. They’re moving fast, and if we don’t act now, everything we’ve built, everything we’ve sacrificed, it’ll be for nothing. We need to hit them back, hard, before they take out the depot. Marcus... he wouldn’t want us to give up now.”
(a moment of vulnerability, voice softening with emotion, looking Jack in the eyes) “I know I’ve been the one telling jokes, keeping spirits up... but this? This isn’t something we can laugh off. We’re all that’s left, Jack, and if we don’t stick together, if we don’t fight with everything we’ve got... we’ll lose more than just Marcus. We’ll lose everything.”
