Upper Class/Lower Class Season 1
Killa_thatguy for James
One of the seven lead roles of the Seniors gang- the Twilight Sparkle of the group. A real Ted Moseby type, if you will. The straightman. Creative, easily stressed, has repressed anger, is rather quite friendly, non-athletic and lovesick. This character's voice is sort of a medium low voice, relaxed, outgoing, somewhat chill, and hiding a heavily repressed brash anger. Natural-ish voice. Sounds sorta slightly deep, calm and utterly exhausted. Think like Chris from Everybody Hates Chris mixed with Freddie from iCarly and a little dash of Troy from Community.

Didn't she say that last week, when we had to write a ten page essay on the history of contact lenses?
Wow, Daniel, you seem to have a pretty good idea of how you want this commercial to play out.
All you care about is money, all you care about is sex, all you care about is getting discovered, all you care about is whatever she cares about, all you care about is comedy, and all you care about is nothing at all!
Much of this audition could use a great deal of work- in the beginning, it comes off a bit stunted and relaxed with the delivery, while near the end, it becomes a rambling rant in tone- while yes, you did achieve both the everyman tone and the anger of the lines provided, it doesn't quite sound right to the character's specifications. In particular, said ramble came off with too much buildup, as a "this and this and that" type thing as opposed to a more "he did this, she did that, they're asking for this and we're all due" type delivery, that would lend better towards a slice of life comedy. As for the everyman tone, it comes off as way too relaxed, to near Garfield levels, and while that delivery is good in and of itself, it simply does not and can not fill that role. I think you should look this over and perhaps turn up and down some things should you do a second take, because there is real potential here.
