Mark is a mercurial teenage Dauntless. Like Harrison, he is justice-oriented (for different reasons, however) and has stayed in Dauntless his whole life. He does have a few chapters devoted to himself, but is not a fully major character.  His chapters are very emotional and powerful. 

  • Then, it hits me again. That stupid phrase, Justice before Feelings.

  • But, I must be the valiant knight everyone has expected me to be. I must make him proud.


  • “I’m sorry, okay. I’m really sorry. I loved her as well.” The words come out in a whine. “I-I’m really sorry…”
