Erdan is slow to anger and quick to calm. He also runs New World Adventures, a role playing game where players can pretend to be human accountants that deal with magical items like computers. This requires him to be able to describe things in a captivating way.

IN MY HEAD: Orlando Bloom's Legolas from Lord of the Rings

  • You are dressed ready to party. Loud music and sweet smelling mist fill the room, and from the ceiling, beams of light strike out in every direction and every colour, changing constantly in time with the rhythm of the music which seems to rise up from the floor. Over here, dancing with the beams of light is a crowd of young men and women. Over here is the bar, where you can purchase your drinks. Finally, over here is a fenced outdoor area, where you need not yell to be heard against the music. (He's running the game, and he's good at it.)

  • Go now. You are quick tempered when you are unrested, and signs of fatigue are showing already. (Very angry, but calm)

Individually, they are both amazing. Together, however, they are the same voice. Either the first one should be less angry or the second one should be more angry. Either way. No need to resubmit though (you can if you want to). I know you can do it. Good audition! You're amazing!

Thank you and yeah, I wasn't sure how "angry" to get for the calm and collected guy, like how unhinged should I push the voice? If needs be I could make him a lot angrier I suppose :)

I try not to micromanage voice actors, because the more they worry about how they sound, the more feeling and emotion they will lose. The line was actually fine. If you made the first line sound even more calm, it would make the angry line sound angry by comparison. (Or, if you prefer, keep the first line the same and add a subtle touch more anger to the second line to differentiate it.)

Yeah, it shouldn't be too hard and I really don't mind tweaking voices, even live, sometimes it isn't always completely clear what the client wants and the contractor thinks they want, its only natural.

Did you resubmit, or did I just forget how awesome this take was? At the rate you're going, I'm getting the feeling I'm just gonna say, "Okay! You do everything except the female voices! I was trying for a diverse cast, but you have more diversity than everyone else!"

Oh my, that is a crazy compliment haha thank you. I guess there is room to voice more than one character but I wouldn't want to bore an audience with me being noticeably every role or anything, then again, its up to you of course :)

You're like, my backup guy. Any part that no one good auditions for is yours. That and Darrak. No one will take Darrak from you. (No sense recording Darrak now though, because I don't know if you'll be the narrator or not.)

Sounds fair dude, looks like fun ahead, Gimli voice needs some opportunities to be released on the world :D
