Rules of an Managers Job. 

Role: Head Manager.

  • Identify and Recruit Top Talent: Your primary responsibility is to seek out and secure the best talent for various roles within the project. This includes actors, artists, animators, writers, and other creative professionals who align with the project's needs and vision. This is especially important for the quality of the production. 
  • Match Talent to Roles: Ensure that the talent you recruit is perfectly suited to the roles they are being considered for. This requires a deep understanding of both the project's requirements and the individual strengths of each candidate. This also means you are required to be there during Voice acting meetings and casting meetings. 
  • Find the Best Artists and Animators: Work closely with the creative team to identify and engage top-tier artists and animators. You are responsible for ensuring that the visual elements of the project are in the hands of the most skilled professionals.
  • Keep Actors and Developers on Schedule: One of your key responsibilities is to manage the schedules of actors and other developers. This involves coordinating rehearsals, shoots, recording sessions, and other activities to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time.
  • Monitor Project Timelines: Keep a close eye on the overall project timeline, ensuring that all creative processes are progressing as planned. If delays arise, you must work to resolve them swiftly to keep the project on track.
  • Act as a Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the talent and the project management team. You are responsible for ensuring that all parties are informed, aligned, and working toward the same goals.
  • Facilitate Clear Communication: Ensure that all communications between the talent, creative teams, and management are clear, concise, and effective. This includes relaying instructions, feedback, and updates.
  • Ensure Compliance: Make sure that all parties adhere to the terms of their contracts. This includes monitoring performance and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Nurture and Develop Talent: Provide ongoing support and guidance to the talent you manage. This includes helping them grow in their roles, providing feedback, and facilitating any necessary training or development opportunities. You will be specifically assigned to helping a handful of our actors, while another project manager will assist you in helping others. Do not be shy in telling me if there are too many cast members on your roster. 
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Ensure that the working environment is positive, productive, and conducive to creativity. This involves resolving conflicts, boosting morale, and supporting the well-being of the talent.
  • Resolve Issues Promptly: Address any problems or conflicts that arise between talent and other team members swiftly and effectively. Your role is to ensure that these issues do not derail the project. 
  • Adapt to Changing Circumstances: Be prepared to adapt and respond to unexpected changes or challenges. This could involve finding replacement talent, adjusting schedules, or renegotiating contracts.
  • Schedule Conflicts: Please feel free to expand on any scheduling conflicts you may have since it is a requirement to be there for auditions please feel free to express any concerns about your schedule. I am very understanding and flexible. 
  • Build and Maintain Networks: Develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of industry professionals, including talent, agents, casting directors, and other key players. These relationships are vital for securing the best talent and resources. This will also build you a network for future projects. 
  • Represent the Project Positively: Always represent the project and the team in a professional and positive manner. Your reputation as an agent reflects on the entire project, so maintain integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Project Integrity: I am not looking for any problems, If you find a cast member to possibly be problematic and or controversial please do not refrain from letting me know. As a project manager, it is your job to look into the actors' previous projects and public pages directly related to them. A cast member cannot/will not be fired for political, religious, or identity beliefs. Furthermore, anything that breaks guidelines such as inappropriate behavior and bad-mouthing others is looked down upon and actions are required to be taken. 
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging talent, and new technologies. This knowledge will help you make informed decisions and stay ahead in a competitive field.
  • Seek Feedback and Improve: Regularly seek feedback from talent and colleagues to improve your processes and approach. Strive for continuous improvement in how you manage and support the team.
