Marcus Carrol used to think all he wanted to be was a proper teenager; the kind that chatted up girls and snuck beer out the house. Underneath all of that bluster and boyish charm though, what he wants more than anything is to protect his family. It's just a shame that he only learned that after he screwed up, and got whisked away to Perdition before he could come back to them. He's been stuck there two years now and every time he's tried to escape, he's just ended up back where he started. His only hope now is the Daemon whispering in his ear. He knows he's a screw up, and he's tired of making things worse every time he tries to fix his mistakes. But what else can he do?

I initially imagined Marcus as an Irish lad, but I'm open to other accents as well.

Then some shanker knocked over her stall and I had to take care of both of 'em. Every day. It's all I ever did. So when this girl came up to me, said she was interested... it was just gonna be the one night! What's wrong with that? I'd earned it! But no, no, no - she had to live in fucking Embley! Had to drag me off to Perdition right along with all of you! So yeah, I cut a deal! It's been two years, how much longer do you want 'em to wait for me!?
