Eusine is a rather eccentric man, who seeks to capture Suicune, the Legendary Pokémon, being a fan of it. As Crystal wants to seek Suicune out for the same reasons, he considers her a rival, unlike Team Rocket, whose intents are malicious.
He also displays some magical tricks that aid him in battle.
