NOTE: This role is only a cameo role, with the only line in the whole story being the audition line featured here. However, the actor cast may be called back in the future if this character reappears in another story later on.

Ikora Rey is a Warlock Guardian and the Warlock Vanguard Leader, as well as being a cameo role within this story. Ikora only appears at the end of the story for a single line after Elisabeth is brought to the current Destiny 2 timeline. Prior to this, in the dark future timeline, Zavala states that Ikora is dead, crushed under the rubble of the Last City by the Witch Queen, Savathûn. Ikora’s death weighs heavily on Zavala, and is part of the reason he is so cynical within the story.

Ikora is the brains of the Vanguard leader’s fireteam. Without her knowledge and resources, the Vanguard wouldn’t have half the knowledge it does now. Ikora helms these resources with an inspiring confidence, always seeming like she knows the next step ahead. In reality, her being so far ahead of the pack in taking steps into the unknown often leads to her being thrown into rather difficult and oftentimes scary positions. However, with all the help she has alongside her, she is able to overcome these obstacles to pave a way for the Guardians of the future. Being able to balance Ikora’s scholarly confidence alongside her warm and inviting demeanor is essential to this role.
