Peter's caring Uncle, the one, the only. Ben is more serious in this script. He sees Peter's grades slipping and suspects he's into some illegal activity, and puberty, but he is going through something that is setting him on the wrong path. He wants to help Peter, but knows he's too old to really do his best. He cares for Peter, but Peter refuses and shuts him out. The tragedy is, Ben wanted to help but Peter didn't want him to understand. Go for less of an ideal happy Ben, and more of a realistic, concerned family member who doesn't want to see Peter lost in life.
