in cannon, Light Yagami is the main protagonist of death note. after finding the death note he decides to use it to rid the world of criminals and enforce his own sense of justice onto the world, becoming the god of the new world. but of course this is going to be a more silly take on the character. in the abridged death note Light is unhappy with the way the world is in 2024. he hates brain-rot terms and is pushed over the edge after having to listen to it for hours in class, he decides to use the death note to fix the world and make it how he sees fit, not necessarily just killing criminals
