Ghost Rider: Nights on Fire
SirJediSentinel for Danny Ketch
The main character. A college dropout in his early twenties, living with zealously religious mother, coping with both the tragedy of his sister being left in a coma after a vicious attack-- and the terror of being inexorably bound to a mysterious demon, thirsting for vengeance.
Danny begins our story as a nervous, indecisive young man, constantly self-sabotaging, forever running from his own potential. When he becomes the Ghost Rider, and starts to take up arms against the hidden horrors of the city, his confidence grows, and he finds new purpose.
Danny serves as narrator for the piece-- most of this audio drama is told through him recounting the last few days to his sister as a framing device. So there are a lot of lines here, just be aware!
We're listing Danny and Ghost Rider as two separate roles, but actors are encouraged to audition for both if they wish!

[Sad, quiet-- wrestling with feelings of shame and helplessness] Hey, Barb. It's me, Danny. Sorry... I know it's... you know, I haven't been here in a while. Not since the night... well. The night you got hurt. You deserve better than that. Pretty lousy fucking brother, right?
[Shaken-- emotional. Recalling his first transformation into Ghost Rider, violently battling a group of cultists] Turning into that thing was terrifying, Barb. It hurt so fucking much, and... and the things it did... that I did...
[Gathering courage, standing up to the big bad at the end of things-- finally accepting his new role] Yeah, man... you're real fucking scary. Congratulations. Bet your "mother" is real proud. But here's the thing-- I promise you... I'm scarier.
