Richard is the janitor at our lovely middle school. A bit into season 1 he befriends rose, and becomes a bit of a fatherly figure for her. He's caring and chill, and honestly pretty wise. Good guy for advice while staring at stars. A little lonely of a dude, and Rose fills a hole in his heart that's been there since his son passed away. Though never directly brought up, he knows more than you think he does.

  • (Comfortingly, calmly) "Stars are pretty cool, aren't they kiddo?"

  • (Almost a moment of flashback, melancholy) "It suits you, kid."

  • (Fatherly) "Rose, you're the most interesting person I know. And you're just a kid! There's a universe waiting for you. Go get it."
