He is the current monarch of Mercia and the father of Horatio. King Eustatius left Meeyarsia, managed to convince Queen Caroline off the throne of Mercia and took the throne for himself. And now... He has ordered for the knights of Mercia to take back the land that used to belong to Mercia back in the days of King Offa. King Eustatius wants the kingdoms of Meeyarsia, Camelot, Powys and many others to become Mercia as they were before.
King Horatio thinks his father is dead throughout the entire series until... The war begins!
Basically, he is the villain of the series.

All of you here today are valiant warriors, fighting for a great cause. You are even training through the night! But save your strength. Tomorrow, we shall take back what was rightly ours, the two kingdoms that used to be owned by Mercia in the times of Offa. Meeyarsia and then Camelot!
