‘Warrior’ of the former Snakepin clan, Madeline is a sarcastic, confident and battle-ready character with a hidden desire for love and something to fill the hole left behind by her dead father and clan. She consistently allows herself to get caught up in competitions and methods of proving her worth and what left she has to live for, hence how she is easily manipulated and convinced of beliefs that aren’t true. However, a strong sense of justice for the endangered keeps her afloat. Prior to the series, she has a difficult experience with the captain of her pirate crew, but hides her pain with a consistent snark and sass that is half an act and half a coping mechanism for severe mental trauma and abuse. Madeline is skilled with a sword, bearing the one previously owned by her deceased father.

  • (Trying to laugh her pain away) You thought all of the Snakepins were dead? (Laughs a little, before devolving into seriousness) Oh, they’re still out there. They have to be.

  • (To Lavender. Heartbroken by Lavender's pain.) I promise you, you don’t need to carry this burden alone. You’re smart. You’re beautiful. You’re worth far more than dirt. We will succeed in our mission. We can talk about the more important things later. For now, let’s save Scianna… and Gregory… and get out of here.

  • (Interjecting herself into the conversation.) I feel like I should add that Scianna is stuck in a giant box. (Sarcastic.) But of course, that’s not important compared to the literal Emerald Kingdom likely preparing to continue the famine.
