I saw the movie a while ago and it was pretty alright! (Forgive me, I'm very theatre-oriented so in my head the stage musical of things is always the "better version" to me. XD) But the movie did have its moments. I think there's a youtube video of the stage show somewhere.
The play is probably much better than the movie. I'll have to see if I can find it online and check it out.
