River is the most relaxed, calm, and peaceful of his siblings. He is a mediator, a peacemaker, and just a generally therapeutic presence whenever necessary. He loves nature and has a penchant for going to this specific beach and letting his thoughts wander. Quite the go-with-the-flow personality.

Voice should be a medium pitch, soft and almost lazy sounding, but not quite there. When I say almost lazy, I don’t mean that as in make him tired sounding and dragging out his speech, but he should kind of sound rather monotonous.

  • [surprised] Whoa, what time is it...?

  • [normal] How does the sand feel to you? Let it sink in and just take in your surroundings.

  • [to himself, coming up with ideas for poetry] Here I am again...here to escape life's daily mundanities. The sound of the sea will never fail to mesmerize and entrance me.

Hello, thank you for your interest and kind words about the project-means a lot. And wow-being from a family of 15 sounds cool and interesting. Really surprising hah. Your audition is pretty good. My only critiques are that I imagined River's voice being a little deeper, and I don't imagine him sighing too much; although I do appreciate that idea. The overall tone is good as well. Nicely done all in all.

Hiya friend,I appreciate the feedback! Sorry bout the improv sigh, was trying to go for something one of those "satisfaction" sighs, but I understand if it doesn't match your vision. As for the deepness, it's completely understandable. I do use a deeper voice for the other auditions I've done here, so if any of those fits with this character maybe that will have solved this. If not, also OK, as the role should go to whoever can do it better. Thanks for the constructive criticism!-Slackboy
