Aoi Asahina is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and her title is the Ultimate Swimmer. Asahina is a cheerful and upbeat girl with a very friendly and welcoming attitude with everyone she meets. She can be a bit of an air-head and quite forgetful, sometimes falling easily for the culprit’s tricks and taking things at face value quite often. Despite that, she’s an extremely athletic swimmer who loves to exercise and is also a skilled runner thanks to her athleticism, quickly running through halls even with Makoto on her back in Dr3 - Despair Arc, showing she’s also pretty strong. However, she can feel a bit insecure about her status as an athlete because she fears that no one will like her for being into a more “masculine” activity and retaining her figure - especially because of her huge sweet tooth. Though possibly one of the franchise's most lively and happier students, her positive attitude is challenged in her killing game as it tests her outlook and relationships with others. Especially since after the death of her closest friend, Sakura (who committed suicide in Chapter 4 of THH to end the killing game), she nearly breaks into despair and is willing to get herself and her classmates killed if it means she’d avenge her friend after she was shunned for being exposed as a traitor. This shows her extreme loyalty to her friends and how she will do her hardest to protect them, and thanks to her other close friend Makoto’s encouragement and support, she will live on to honor and in memory of her friends who died.
When it comes to Aoi’s voice, I think her anime voice is my favorite interpretation! Especially when she begins breaking down in her darker moments. However, I think her other two voices are really good interpretations as well!

If we work together against the mastermind, nobody'll have any reason to do something like that!"
(Remembering Sakura as she breaks through brief despair, regaining her strong will and resilience to fight for hope) "Knowing Sakura, she'd say, "Strength can only be obtained by confronting adversity." "In that case, I shall tread the thorny path." I'm pretty sure that's what she'd say!"
(After Sakura's death was revealed to be a suicide and the trial ends: Aoi revealing the (forged) suicide note and breaking down in angry and vengeful tears as she reveals why she wanted to hide that Sakura killed herself.) "Sakura died hating all of us. I wanted to free her of her regrets. But even that got found out. In the end, I wasn't able to do anything for her... I could never face her after this... She had weaknesses, just like any other person. If she got cut, she bled. If someone hurt her, she felt it. That's weakness... That's normal...! And yet... You all blamed her... I tried to protect her, and I suffered for it. And that just added to the weight she had to carry...! We killed her... All of us. We pushed her into a corner...and we murdered her. People like us shouldn't be allowed to live... WE DESERVE TO ROT IN HELL!
