Scientists who carried out unethical experiments on several bugs to create magic and fuse cordyceps with bugs. Their determination and disregard for ethics quickly turns to hopelessness as their experiment backfires on them.
I am looking for medium-low to medium voices that hold an prideful, academic, self-assured tone which quickly pales at their own hubris when things go awry. This should encapsulate the classic type of scientist that is more concerned with results than consequences until facing death.
