This is a character that will be portrayed as one of those old sea salts that always has a tale to spin, and a very hearty attitude. My best comparison would have to be a black-beard type of pirate, who's very passionate about the sea. Similar pirate-like accent as well (similar voice type would be something like Mr. Krabs).
